Cedar Mask
We find this natural piece of Western redcedar driftwood very appealing. Hung horizontally, the composition resembles a moonrise over the ocean. In portrait mode, it's a highly stylized monocular mask. It reminds us of the work of the great Romanian-French sculptor Constantin Brâncuși. Or better yet, Constantin Antonovici's portrait of his mentor Brâncuși (last image).
