Small sake jug in the form of a kayoi tokurri, or traditional, refillable sake jug. We suspect this is a mid 20th-century creation (it would help if we could read the calligraphy!). We love the super-simple caricature of Daruma, the ubiquitous Japanese motif, representing the great Buddhist monk Bodhidharma.
