Lacquerware Chabitsu #2

$40.00

A chabitsu is a short, cylindrical, lidded container, in which a set of sencha (green leaf tea) or matcha utensils are stored. The lid can also be used as a tray. Traditionally, every Japanese household had a chabitsu, right next to the chabudai (low dining table). You can use it to store yarn, as an ice bucket, or for whatever you wish! The last image is of a chabitsu being used in the traditional fashion.
