A chabitsu (or chahitsu) is a short, cylindrical, lidded container, in which a set of sencha (green leaf tea) tea utensils are stored. The lid can also be used as a tray. Traditional Japanese household would keep a chabitsu right next to the chabudai (low dining table). Excellent for keeping the cat out of your yarn!
