Mark Nafziger (born 1957) has been Resident Potter at the historic Sauder Village in his hometown of Archbold, Ohio ever since 1981. As befits a potter working in a historical setting, Nafziger employs many traditional English and American techniques in his work, such as the “slip trailing” seen in this lovely little weed-pot. His work can be found in the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Pomona, CA, among other prominent collections. Nafzifer was voted Ohio’s best potter 2020!
