Mid-20th century brass-and bakelite contact plate. Most likely from a pinball machine, although similar units were used in slot machines, and even in the first drum machines. Originally, one or more dial-like "sweeper" arms would have completed electronic circuits as they spun around the brass contact points. As is, it’s a wonderful sunburst sculpture from the earliest days of the electronic age.
