Squat Lava Pot
This squat vase makes little effort to be pretty, but succeeds anyway. The upper surface is coated with a thick, caramel lava glaze, which drips down over the dark, basalt clay body like the fondant on a princess cake. The opening is formed into a subtle rhombus. Die-stamped with an “A” mark. An unusual piece of studio ceramics, indeed!
