Stunning Marc Matsui Vessel
Seattle-area potter Marc Matsui has been throwing pots since high school, studying with noted potters including Regnor Reinholdston and Sam Scott. Matsui pursued a degree in ceramics at the University of Washington before establishing his own pottery in Woodinville, Washington, where he continues to work 40 years on. This large, elegant vessel of marvelously-thin, high-fired porcelain, is typical of his work. Touches of deep violet glaze on the shoulders subtly fade into sepia black.
