Tall Porcelain Tokurri
Very unusual, tall (14”) Japanese tokurri, or sake flask. At least we believe that’s what it is... Late Meiji or Taisho period. Made of hand-thrown porcelain, decorated with calligraphic lettering in indigo blue. It seems to say “new clothes high” on one side, but something may be lost in translation… Makes a stunning ikebana vase! Old price sticker (7500 yen) on base.
