Tulsi Vivah Lobby Card

$40.00

Lobby card for Tulsi Vivah (The Marriage of Tulsi), a 1971 Bollywood mythological fantasy-drama starring Jayshree Gadkar and Anita Guhait (pictured). It tells of the origins of the Hindu Tulsi Vivah festival, which involves the ceremonial wedding of the goddess Tulasi (a personification of the holy basil) with a shaligrama branch (a personifications of the god Vishnu). The ritual marks the end of the monsoon season, and the beginning of the wedding season. Heavy card-stock, letterpress-embossed, with reinforced grommets for hanging. Well-used, but in great condition. Real photo paste-down. The colors — as well as the actors' expressions — really pop!

13” x 15” overall. Photo paste-down is 9” x 11”
